Capsule for the Day
At last, He managed to get to Calvary. But that wasn't the end of the story. They stripped off His garment, exposed His bruises and wounds to the elements and allowed the heat of the sun to torture Him. So, It wasn't just man’s inhumanity He bore, He also bore nature's cruelty. What a sight?
But His story isn't just about Himself, it is also about us. It is about our own bruises and wounds. It is about betrayal; how some we trust and entrust our lives to, take advantage of us, expose our dirty and ugly pasts to the public, strip off our dignity and worth, and leave us at the mercy of all.
Words alone can't describe the feeling. But imagine the biting effect of the sun on the bruises and wounds of Christ. Don't we think the rash and unkind judgments people make on our past may have a similar effect like the sun on Christ's wounds? We may all have our own stories to tell here...
