Capsule for the Day
Prayer is our life-line. It is the bedrock of our covenant relationship with God. It is the language we speak as children when we come to Our Father. For Our Father addresses us in the Word (Jesus Christ), and we respond to Him with words that praise, thank, atone, petition and intercede.
This response often comes from the recesses of our hearts. It comes naturally to many, but to others, it is a real struggle; a burden, and a worry. There is the big question of how can I pray. The simple answer is to pray. To begin the day by acknowledging the Giver - God and end it with gratitude.
There is always something in the day to be thankful for. But we often don't look enough for that one single grace, that one single God moment. This too can be a struggle for many of us. However, it is a good habit to cultivate, to ask at the evening of our life "where was God at work today".
