Capsule for the Day

We often hear people say, I have prayed and prayed, and nothing is happening. It is true that "things" don't always happen when we pray. The reason is "prayer isn't so much about changing things as it is about changing people". It changes us so that we can in turn change things.

Unfortunately, the mistake we make from time to time is we want things to change but not us. And when things don't change as a result of our own refusal to change, we blame it on God. It is either God is too weak to effect change or there is no God at all. So, it's God's fault, not ours.

This is so true especially in our blaming culture - a culture that doesn't take responsibility for its own actions and inactions but chooses to blame them on others. God isn't spared in this blaming culture. But imagine what would happen if we allow ourselves to change by our prayers?
