Capsule for the Day

Talking more about injustice and false accusations, we definitely think we are always the poor victims. "I was accused falsely... I am suffering injustice... I am innocent and wrongly condemned. We could be playing the victim very well. But we forget how often we, too, are the perpetrators.

Imagine how fast we are to blame Pilate for condemning Jesus to death for no just cause, when we do worst things in the guise of fighting for our rights. Have we ever considered the consequences of what we say or not say about others? How many have been condemned by our comments?

No! Pilate is the bad guy. Are we any different? "I have never condemned anyone" we claim. But we condemn sometimes by our silence, not speaking out and saying the truth. Our inaction or indifference makes us more like Pilate... And He is right: "whatever you did to others, you did to me".
