Capsule for the Day
"My pain, my suffering is nothing compared with what Christ passed through... He bore it all, I should bear mine too". Testimony of a dying Cancer patient. "Pain", she continued, "isn't an end in itself. It is a purifying agent... It cleans out the rust and reveals the priceless gold".
And that is what pain does. But none of us want pain. None of us want suffering. Nevertheless, all of us go through suffering. Without the pang of childbirth, there is no new born. Without the cross, there is no crown of Glory. Or better put, no pain, no gain. Thus, pain is gain in disguise.
However, we can only appreciate pain if we have hope (expecting the best outcome)... and hope feeds on God's promises... don't be afraid... I am with you always... I will raise you up... you shall be with Me... And the memory of God keeping His promises assures us that our hope is not deceptive.
