Capsule for the Day

Babies crawl... but there comes a time when they have to stand on their own two feet and walk. It isn't easy to grow from crawling to walking let alone running. There are many falls in this process of growth. Babies who fear falling end up not able to walk. Falling and rising help in bone formation.

But Christ falls weren't literally about bone formation. They were symbolically about our growth in our relationship with Him. Thus, by His falls, He leaves us a lesson not to be ashamed of our own falls but to learn from them, to stand up and stagger on... because the falls help to strengthen us.

If Christ, the Son of God could fall under the weight of the Cross, how much more we who are humans. But the fall isn't an end in itself. We can either rise or not. The message is in the rising... never to give up... to keep searching and never to settle for the less but to strive for the best... Christ, the Crown of Glory.
