Capsule for the Day

Mothers are generally beautiful. They have a way of cleaning up their children's mess. And they also have a way of letting their children grow out of their mess and learn the lessons therein. A good mother never throws away her child with the bath-water. She washes off her child's dirt.

The beauty isn't just in the act of washing, but also in the desire to reach out and pick up the child from the mud. Normally, we let go of whatever is in the mud... it has fallen into the mud... it is no good anymore. But a mother's love sees through the mud and finds her beloved child.

For a mother, her child is always her beloved, not only when the child is an angel but also when the child is a mess. St Paul is right, true love doesn't come to an end. It is the love that allows the Sun to shine on good men as well as bad men. It is the love that doesn't give up... Love loves!
