Capsule for the Day

There is a story of a stone cutter. He was asked to split a big rock into two. He struck the rock the first time and nothing happened. He tried over and over again and there was no sign that the rock would crack let alone split. He felt bad. He felt he had failed a generation of stone cutters. Shame!

He went home that day frustrated. He tried to sleep, but his eyes were wide open. All he could think of was the rock that defeated him. The rock that made him to rethink his trade as a stone cutter. Although his body felt the weight of disappointment, his spirit never gave up. He stood up!

He prayed. He thanked God for giving him a trade. He thanked him for giving him a rock so impossible to split. And then he remembered that God is bigger than the rock. So, instead of thinking of how big the rock is, he started to think how big God is. And this faith helped him to split the rock.
