Capsule for the Day

Contentment is the rough path to true happiness. It frees us within and makes us to appreciate who we are, where we come from, what we have and where we are going. There is no life as fulfilling as the life that is contented. To be contented isn't about having more, but it's about gratitude.

We learn to be contented. It begins with living in the present and enjoying the moment. It sounds so easy to write this, but so hard to live it. Our easiest trap is to live in the future. I am a teenager, I want to be an adult. So, I waste away my teenage life living an adult life. Discontentment!

There is a growing trend in society to be discontented, to live with the expectation that having more will make us happier. Unfortunately, this isn't true. For happiness isn't about having more, but it is about being more: being with God, being good and living well, being present, being contented.
